Cronulla Gangs Editorial
The Cronulla
riots of yesterday have been described as disgusting and disgraceful..
There’s no doubt about
that…
But what caused it???
How did it come to this???
(Or to use the term de jur, what are the root causes)
There’s no doubt that
yesterdays activity can be sheeted home to grog and lots of it…
No one covered themselves
in glory and in fact the yobbs kicked an “own goal”
and shifted the focus off the Lebanese gangs and their behavior on to
themselves…
And the police and the
politicians…They too have some very serious questions to answer..
I find it interesting how
they absolutely flailed people with steel batons yesterday but have walked on
egg shells when dealing with Lebanese gangs over the last decade or so…
In fact they pretend and
deny that there is even a problem…
Now, in the shadow of
yesterday they can no longer maintain the denial mindset.
More on that shortly
I think the question on
many peoples minds over the last week or so has been, “Who the hell do these ME
thugs think they are???”
What’s their
problem???…Why are they intent on creating trouble.
Why do they do what they do???…
Well, the answer is
simple.
They do it because they
can…
The failure to exercise
zero tolerance with this pond scum over the years has led them to believe that
they can do exactly what they like…
And, unsurprisingly, so
they do.
In other words this
failure to come down hard from day one has fashioned, forged and shaped their
attitudes and behaviour…
Make no mistake…we are
beginning to reap the whirlwind of years, decades, of political and police
timidity, of political and police inaction and inertia with
far too greater emphasis on cultural sensitivity..
These jumped up punks are
nothing less than the shock troops in a social and cultural Jihad…
In the past it’s been
street by street, suburb by suburb, shopping centers and malls, then movie
theatre strips…and now the beaches…
In each instance the
MO…The Standard operating procedure has been the same…Provoke a situation goad
and needle, make inappropriate, lewd and sexually insulting comments to young
women and when you get a negative response run up the flag of victim hood,
exclusion and marginalisation..
Here’s how it works:
Move into an area…and by
shear weight of numbers combined with an uppity, cocky, strutting, swagger and
a “what are you looking at” attitude of intimidation and machismo, make the
atmosphere so unpleasant that everybody else just moves out and goes somewhere
else...
And it works!!!!
Like a mongrel dog…They
mark out their territory
And once they’ve laid
claim to it, its theirs….and a “no go zone” for every
one else…
When on the receiving end
they scream racism and play the victim..
Well, the public have had
enough…The broader community is radiating rage, fury, anger and palpable hostility
towards both the gangs and the supine, spineless politicians and police who
continue to blather on about “the full force of the law”…who continue to talk
the talk but don’t walk the walk…well at least when it comes to coming down
hard on ethnic gangs.
Former NSW Police
Detective Tim Priest wrote about this in Quadrant Magazine back in January
2004.
In a lengthy,
and informative article about his time in The NSW Police, Tim Priest wrote
about an incident back in 2001…
This is in part what he
wrote…
“….An example of the
confrontations police nearly always experienced in Muslim-dominated areas when
confronting even the most minor of crimes is an incident that occurred in 2001
in
When searching the vehicle and finding
stolen property from the break-and-enter, the police were physically threatened
by the three occupants of the car, including references to tracking down where
the officers lived, killing them and “f….ing your
girlfriends”. The two officers were intimidated to the point of retreating to
their police car and calling for urgent assistance. When police back-up
arrived, the three occupants called their associates via their mobile phones,
which incidentally is the Middle Eastern radio network used to communicate
amongst gangs. Within minutes as many as twenty associates arrived as well as
another forty or so from the street where they had been stopped. As further
police cars arrived, the Middle Eastern males became even more aggressive,
throwing punches at police, pushing police over onto the ground, threatening
them with violence and damaging police vehicles.
When the duty officer arrived, he
immediately ordered all police back into their vehicles and they retreated from
the scene. The stolen property was not recovered. No offender was arrested for
assaulting police or damaging police vehicles.
But the humiliation did not end there. The
group of Middle Eastern males then drove to the police station, where they
intimidated the station staff, damaged property and virtually held a suburban
police station hostage. The police were powerless. The duty officer ordered
police not to confront the offenders but to call for back-up from nearby
stations. Eventually the offenders left of their own volition. No action was
taken against them.
In the minds of the local population, the
police were cowards and the message was, Lebs rule the streets. For a number of days, nothing was
done to rectify this total breakdown of law and order. To the senior police in
the area, it was more important to give the impression that local ethnic
relations were never better…..”
That was then…This is now…here we are 4
years on, having the same converstion..nothing
has changed…The problem, the cancer has metastasized and yesterday at Cronulla we witnessed the sequel..
It seems that cultural
sensitivity trumps everything else…
It’s about time the
carcass of this divisive, rotting, rancid and fetid policy was cut down and
composted…
Until that happens we can
expect more of the same..
Remember, They do it because they can and that is not about to change
any time soon…
