(20Aug06) “……W hen America was attacked on 9/11 by Islamic jihadis, it was said that this was a doomsday wake-up call for the West. Within a short while, however, much of Britain decided that 9/11 was actually America's fault and that Israel was at the core of the problem….When Britain was attacked last year on 7/7 by Islamic jihadis, it was said that this was a doomsday wake-up call for the U.K. Within a short time, however, much of the country decided that it was Britain's own fault on account of “Islamophobia” and the war in Iraq…From the evidence of one opinion poll this week, the British public has at least woken up to the fact that we are in the throes of a world war. Not so, however, the British establishment and chattering classes…” Suicide of the West ( Denial is no longer a river in Egypt but a British pathology) by Melanie Phillips “…The argument that foreign policy is the cause of the threat to Britain — a claim trotted out by a wide spectrum of people — is itself idiotic beyond measure. As Reid said, there was an al Qaeda plot in Birmingham to blow up Britain back in 2000 — before 9/11 , let alone the war in Iraq . Similarly, jihadi attacks on the U.S. began 22 years before 9/11 with the Iran embassy hostage crisis in 1979 , followed by two decades of further attacks…..Even now, much of Britain fails to understand the apocalyptic messianism now driving the regime in Iran to develop nuclear weapons with which to blackmail the world… many in Britain simply refuse to acknowledge that the root cause of the threat that Britain faces is Islam….The unpalatable fact is that there is actually a continuum of Islamic extremism in Britain. While probably only a small number on this continuum will ever be involved in violence, too many others subscribe to odious beliefs and ideas which maintain the sea of hatred and bigotry in which terrorism swims….By the time Britain finally works out just who are its allies and who are its enemies, it may well be too late….”
Expert: Iran Poised To Be 'Mother of All World Threats'
(14Aug06)“…For anyone who still thinks the Israeli-Lebanon war is just a border scuffle, one Middle East expert shouts a dire warning: "As soon as a cease fire occurs, the ‘Hezbollah Blitzkrieg' will crumble the ‘Lebanese Republic of Weimar' and install its own ‘Khomeinist Republic' on the Eastern shores of the Mediterranean. The consequences of such a development are far beyond imagination for the region and the world. Hezbollah would have paved the way for Iran to create the mother of all world threats since Hitler."…So cautions Professor Walid Phares, author of "Future Jihad," a visiting fellow with the European Foundation for Democracy in Brussels, and a senior fellow with the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies in Washington, D.C…” Expert: Iran Poised To Be 'Mother of All World Threats' by Dave Eberhart, NewsMax “…Lebanese-born Phares likens the current Hezbollah offensive in Lebanon to a "putsch" -- with the convoluted aims of reestablishing a pro-Syrian-Iranian regime in Lebanon, reconstructing a third wing to the Tehran-Damascus axis, reanimating the Arab-Israeli conflict, rejuvenating Syrian dominance, isolating Jordan, reaching out to Hamas, crumbling Iraq, and unleashing Iran's nuclear programs. The author also sees half-measures and premature truces as catalysts to even bloodier future conflicts…”
Shut down Iran's deadly ambitions
(8Aug06) “…The role of Iran explains why Israel has responded so strongly to Hezbollah's attacks. Some have seen Israel 's response as "disproportionate". But whether a country's response to an armed attack is proportionate or not depends on the dimension of the threat it faces…Hezbollah's stockpile of 13,000 missiles was provided by Iran and delivered through Syria . As well as its old Soviet Katyushas, Hezbollah has hundreds of Fajr missiles, including some with much greater range than those used so far. These can only have come from Iran …. Iran is publicly committed to the destruction of Israel and is bent on the development of nuclear weapons…” Shut down Iran's deadly ambitions by Michael Danby, The Australian “…Ayatollah Khamenei, has said the casualties Iran would sustain in a nuclear exchange with Israel would be acceptable if it meant Israel could be "eliminated" at the same time…Demands from the Prime Minister's Muslim reference group that Hezbollah be delisted as a terrorist organisation will cut no ice with 95 per cent of the Australian parliament. When parliament voted for this measure, Australia was keenly aware of Hezbollah's role in sponsoring terrorism outside the Middle East…..If Iran refuses to abandon its nuclear ambitions, and if we are serious about preventing a possible nuclear war initiated by Iran , we should support financial sanctions against that country….”
(30July06) “…With the international community focused on Iran 's quest to develop nuclear weapons, little attention has been paid to Tehran 's preparations for a possible showdown with America and its allies. For more than a year, Iran has been preparing, together with terror organizations it controls and finances, for a confrontation code-named "Al-Qiyamah," which is Arabic for "Judgment Day." Hezbollah's unprovoked war against Israel may well be the first step in this Iranian-inspired conflict….Participants in Iran 's "Judgment Day" plans include Hezbollah in Lebanon , Hezbollah cells in Europe, North America, the Persian Gulf region, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the leaders of Iraq 's insurgency, and the Mahdi Army of Iraq's Muqtada Al-Sadr…” Judgement Day by Yehudit Barsky, New York Sun “...Representatives of Iran's Revolutionary Guards were sent to create Hezbollah cells in Lebanon and other countries with large Shi'a populations, including Western countries….Iran's outfitting of Hezbollah with military grade weapons over the past six years has transformed it into a militarized terror organization with offensive capabilities resembling that of a state….In a military parade held in September 2005, during "Sacred Defense Week," Iran flaunted the latest versions of ballistic missiles produced by its military including the Zilzal 1 and 2. The namesake of this missile is a verse in the Qur'an that tells of the final earthquake that precipitates Judgment Day….”
(30July06) “…It seems like the old millennialism thinking, a belief held, in one version or another by several major religions…. The belief in supernatural intervention to set the world aright is scriptural to major religions, including Islam…. Up to this point millennialism was a belief and a hope. No one ever aspired to or had the means of making the anticipated events come about. The matter was in the hands of God. The Muslims' perennial prayer recited every day, posted in mosques and even on bumpers of vehicles has been, “O, Saheb-ul-Zaman , hasten your coming.”…. It is a well-established fact that beliefs are a potent impetus to action…. To the fanatic mullahs ruling Iran Sahaeb-ul-Zaman is an absolute reality and his promised advent is irrevocably ordained…. It is foolish for the non-Muslims to dismiss the mullahs and the Bin Ladens as a bunch of fringe lunatics who are going to go away simply by wishing it…” The Iranian Mullahs' Aim, The American Thinker “…The Islamist reality is that the non-Muslims are the ones who deserve to be done away with; they are the ones who have refused to submit to the summons of Allah for much too long; and, it is time for the faithful to get rid of them…. Reasoning and negotiating with the mullahs and their ilk hold very little, if any, lasting promise. There are always the easy ways of denial and appeasement. We are very good at both practices…. The Islamofascists don't believe in the notion of “Live and let live.” They believe that the earth is Allah's and it has been sullied by the heathens, the unbelievers and the kafir for far too long… The concern is not with individual Muslims who live as solid citizens in democratic societies… Our concern is with the gathering Islamofascist storm from the heart of Islamdom…”
(29July06) “…Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has frustrated Western officials by refusing to reply to their offer of various incentives in exchange for Iran 's discarding its nuclear program until August 22 . The Western governments had asked Ahmadinejad to reply by June 29; why would Tehran need two extra months? ... Farid Ghadry, the president of the Reform Party of Syria, has offered a provocative explanation for this delay. He asserts that the Supreme National Security Council of Iran chose the August 22 date “for a very precise reason. August 21, 2006 (Rajab 27, 1427) is known in the Islamic calendar as the Night of the Sira'a and Miira'aj, the night Prophet Mohammed (saas) ascended to heaven from the Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem on a Bourak (Half animal, half man), while a great light lit-up the night sky, and visited Heaven and Hell also Beit al-Saada and Beit al-Shaqaa (House of Happiness and House of Misery) and then descended back to Mecca.…” Iran's Day of Terror by Robert Spencer “…The Night Journey, or Miraj, is central to Islam's claim to Jerusalem as an Islamic holy city… Did Muhammad really go anywhere? According to his favorite wife, Aisha, he did not: “The apostle's body remained where it was but God removed his spirit by night.” Nevertheless, the Night Journey has become firmly embedded in the Islamic consciousness, such that Muslims today celebrate it as one of the central events of Muhammad's life…. Certainly a nuclear attack on Jerusalem or even an all-out conventional assault against Israel by Iran would be consistent with Ahmadinejad's oft-repeated denials of Israel's right to exist and recent predictions that its demise was at hand….Will he attempt to make good on these threats this year on the anniversary of the Miraj, illuminating the night sky over Jerusalem? Will Western powers heed Farid Ghadry's words and move to stop Iran before it is too late?...”
Exclusive: Shah of Iran 's Heir Plans Overthrow of Regime
(20 May06) Important and compulsory reading!
“…Reza Pahlavi, son of the late Shah of Iran, told the editors of HUMAN EVENTS last week that in the next two to three months he hopes to finalize the organization of a movement aimed at overthrowing the Islamic regime in Tehran and replacing it with a democratic government. He believes the cause is urgent because of the prospect that Iran may soon develop a nuclear weapon or the U.S. may use military force to pre-empt that. He hopes to offer a way out of this dilemma: a revolution sparked by massive civil disobedience in which the masses in the streets are backed by elements of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard…. The following are excerpts from the interview with the editors of HUMAN EVENTS in which Pahlavi explained why and how he thinks his country can be transformed from an Islamist dictatorship into a free democracy….” From Human Events Online Exclusive: Shah of Iran 's Heir Plans Overthrow of Regime
(12May06)The MSM (mainstream media) dropped the ball on this one. Not paying attention and down right ignorant at their peril. An Islamic Declaration of War.
Suffice to say that the first steps in the process of Dahwah is to issue an invitation to join the faith. From then on, if the invitation is declined, it is all down hill. Ahmadinejad's letter to George Bush contains just such an overture. It is a text book opening gambit straight from 7 th century Islam.
Osama Bin Laden issued similar invitations to the West pre-September 11 and we witnessed the results of failure to comply. Read more specifics (highlighted) from the Ahmadinejad's letter
(30April06) “…It was 70 years ago this spring -- in March 1936 -- when Adolf Hitler sent his military into the demilitarized zone of the Rhineland in defiance of France , Britain and the League of Nations . The German dictator deliberately set out to test the resoluteness of his main adversaries, and found it lacking….Hitler could have been stopped in 1936 if France, acting in concert with Britain, had taken forceful military action as the occasion demanded….Hitler reminisced: "If the French had marched into the Rhineland, we would have had to withdraw with our tails between our legs, for the military resources at our disposal would have been wholly inadequate for even a moderate resistance …" Act now to end threat of Iran By Salim Mansur, Toronto Sun “…T he lesson from 70 years ago is obvious. Democracies stalemate themselves by ceaseless self-doubt -- when resolute pre-emption is what is required to checkmate dictators and madmen -- only to pay later steeper price in tears and blood for what could well have been averted…. The language emanating recently out of Tehran has been chilling. But it is not new, and no one can plead Iran has not forewarned of its intentions to reorder the balance of power to its advantage in the Middle East … The time for negotiation with Iranian leaders might be over. What remains uncertain is whether Iran has crossed its Rubicon. This will only be known in retrospect if the free world fails to do its duty and allows Iran to acquire nuclear weapons
The frightening truth of why Iran wants a bomb
(16April06) “…Last Monday, just before he announced that Iran had gatecrashed "the nuclear club", President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad disappeared for several hours. He was having a khalvat (tête-à-tête) with the Hidden Imam, the 12th and last of the imams of Shiism who went into "grand occultation" in 941…. Last year, it was after another khalvat that Ahmadinejad announced his intention to stand for president. Now, he boasts that the Imam gave him the presidency for a single task: provoking a "clash of civilisations"……According to this analysis, spelled out in commentaries by Ahmadinejad's strategic guru, Hassan Abassi, known as the "Dr Kissinger of Islam", President George W Bush is an aberration, an exception to a rule under which all American presidents since Truman, when faced with serious setbacks abroad, have "run away..” The frightening truth of why Iran wants a bomb By Amir Taheri “… Iran 's current strategy, therefore, is to wait Bush out. And that, by "divine coincidence", corresponds to the time Iran needs to develop its nuclear arsenal, thus matching the only advantage that the infidel enjoys…. The Iranian plan is simple: playing the diplomatic game for another two years until Bush becomes a "lame-duck", unable to take military action against the mullahs, while continuing to develop nuclear weapons…. Thus do not be surprised if, by the end of the 12 days still left of the United Nations' Security Council "deadline", Ahmadinejad announces a "temporary suspension" of uranium enrichment as a "confidence building measure". Also, don't be surprised if some time in June he agrees to ask the Majlis (the Islamic parliament) to consider signing the additional protocols of the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty (NPT)….Such manoeuvres would allow the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) director, Muhammad El-Baradei, and Britain's Foreign Secretary, Jack Straw, to congratulate Iran for its "positive gestures" and denounce talk of sanctions, let alone military action…”
(16April06) “…In all of the obfuscation generated by the backward-looking debate over what happened to Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction, it has been easy for some to claim that the Iranian threat is being blown out of proportion by the Bush administration. But grasping the case against Iran doesn't depend on secret dossiers and obscure intelligence reports. All it requires is that you open up your newspaper and read the pronouncements of Iran 's own leaders…Why does Iran want to enrich uranium? Ahmadinejad isn't interested so much in joining a nuclear club as he is in wielding a nuclear club. He has openly boasted that Iran wants to "wipe Israel off the map."… In case you don't think they're serious, Iran 's religious establishment recently released a fatwa sanctioning the use of nuclear weapons…” Time to Fight the Real War by Robert Tracinski “… Iran 's reach is not limited to Iraq . Late last year, when Bashar Assad's Syrian dictatorship was reeling from the loss of Lebanon , Ahmadinejad made a trip to Damascus in which he urged Assad to stand fast and pledged Iranian support….Iran's tentacles even extend beyond the Middle East. Iran has been cultivating an alliance with Venezuelan strongman Hugo Chavez, including discussions about providing the anti-American firebrand and protégé of Fidel Castro with nuclear technology….Iran's global ambitions are as grandiose as anything put forward by Osama bin Laden—but they are backed by control of a country of 70 million people with an army, navy, and air force, a vast network of terrorist organizations across the Middle East, and, very soon, nuclear weapons. If America 's failure to act against the comparatively minor threat from Bin Laden in the 1990s resulted in the horrors of September 11, we can expect far worse if we fail to act against Iran …”
