Hezbollah was using UN post as ‘shield

(30July06) “…The words of a Canadian United Nations observer written just days before he was killed in an Israeli bombing of a UN post in Lebanon are evidence Hezbollah was using the post as a "shield" to fire rockets into Israel, says a former UN commander in Bosnia….The strike hit the UN observation post in the southern Lebanese village of El Khiam, killing Canadian Maj. Paeta Hess-von Kruedener… Just last week, Maj. Hess-von Kruedener wrote an e-mail about his experiences after nine months in the area, words Maj.-Gen. MacKenzie said are an obvious allusion to Hezbollah tactics… Hezbollah was using UN post as ‘shield' What I can tell you is this ," he wrote in an e-mail to CTV dated July 18. " We have on a daily basis had numerous occasions where our position has come under direct or indirect fire from both (Israeli) artillery and aerial bombing”…"What that means is, in plain English, 'We've got Hezbollah fighters running around in our positions, taking our positions here and then using us for shields and then engaging the (Israeli Defence Forces) ," he said…That would mean Hezbollah was purposely setting up near the UN post, he added. It's a tactic Maj.-Gen. MacKenzie, who was the first UN commander in Sarajevo during the Bosnia civil war, said he's seen in past international missions: Aside from UN posts, fighters would set up near hospitals, mosques and orphanages. The UN post, he wrote in the e-mail, afforded a view of the "Hezbollah static positions in and around our patrol Base."… …The e-mail appears to contradict the UN's claim there had been no Hezbollah activity in the vicinity of the strike…”

Judgement Day

(30July06) “…With the international community focused on Iran 's quest to develop nuclear weapons, little attention has been paid to Tehran 's preparations for a possible showdown with America and its allies. For more than a year, Iran has been preparing, together with terror organizations it controls and finances, for a confrontation code-named "Al-Qiyamah," which is Arabic for "Judgment Day." Hezbollah's unprovoked war against Israel may well be the first step in this Iranian-inspired conflict….Participants in Iran 's "Judgment Day" plans include Hezbollah in Lebanon , Hezbollah cells in Europe, North America, the Persian Gulf region, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the leaders of Iraq 's insurgency, and the Mahdi Army of Iraq's Muqtada Al-Sadr…” Judgement Day by Yehudit Barsky, New York Sun “...Representatives of Iran's Revolutionary Guards were sent to create Hezbollah cells in Lebanon and other countries with large Shi'a populations, including Western countries….Iran's outfitting of Hezbollah with military grade weapons over the past six years has transformed it into a militarized terror organization with offensive capabilities resembling that of a state….In a military parade held in September 2005, during "Sacred Defense Week," Iran flaunted the latest versions of ballistic missiles produced by its military including the Zilzal 1 and 2. The namesake of this missile is a verse in the Qur'an that tells of the final earthquake that precipitates Judgment Day….”

The Iranian Mullahs' Aim

(30July06) “…It seems like the old millennialism thinking, a belief held, in one version or another by several major religions…. The belief in supernatural intervention to set the world aright is scriptural to major religions, including Islam…. Up to this point millennialism was a belief and a hope. No one ever aspired to or had the means of making the anticipated events come about. The matter was in the hands of God. The Muslims' perennial prayer recited every day, posted in mosques and even on bumpers of vehicles has been, “O, Saheb-ul-Zaman , hasten your coming.”…. It is a well-established fact that beliefs are a potent impetus to action…. To the fanatic mullahs ruling Iran Sahaeb-ul-Zaman is an absolute reality and his promised advent is irrevocably ordained…. It is foolish for the non-Muslims to dismiss the mullahs and the Bin Ladens as a bunch of fringe lunatics who are going to go away simply by wishing it…” The Iranian Mullahs' Aim, The American Thinker “…The Islamist reality is that the non-Muslims are the ones who deserve to be done away with; they are the ones who have refused to submit to the summons of Allah for much too long; and, it is time for the faithful to get rid of them…. Reasoning and negotiating with the mullahs and their ilk hold very little, if any, lasting promise. There are always the easy ways of denial and appeasement. We are very good at both practices…. The Islamofascists don't believe in the notion of “Live and let live.” They believe that the earth is Allah's and it has been sullied by the heathens, the unbelievers and the kafir for far too long… The concern is not with individual Muslims who live as solid citizens in democratic societies… Our concern is with the gathering Islamofascist storm from the heart of Islamdom…”

Iran's Day of Terror

(29July06) “…Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has frustrated Western officials by refusing to reply to their offer of various incentives in exchange for Iran 's discarding its nuclear program until August 22 . The Western governments had asked Ahmadinejad to reply by June 29; why would Tehran need two extra months? ... Farid Ghadry, the president of the Reform Party of Syria, has offered a provocative explanation for this delay. He asserts that the Supreme National Security Council of Iran chose the August 22 date “for a very precise reason. August 21, 2006 (Rajab 27, 1427) is known in the Islamic calendar as the Night of the Sira'a and Miira'aj, the night Prophet Mohammed (saas) ascended to heaven from the Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem on a Bourak (Half animal, half man), while a great light lit-up the night sky, and visited Heaven and Hell also Beit al-Saada and Beit al-Shaqaa (House of Happiness and House of Misery) and then descended back to Mecca.…” Iran's Day of Terror by Robert Spencer “…The Night Journey, or Miraj, is central to Islam's claim to Jerusalem as an Islamic holy city… Did Muhammad really go anywhere? According to his favorite wife, Aisha, he did not: “The apostle's body remained where it was but God removed his spirit by night.” Nevertheless, the Night Journey has become firmly embedded in the Islamic consciousness, such that Muslims today celebrate it as one of the central events of Muhammad's life…. Certainly a nuclear attack on Jerusalem or even an all-out conventional assault against Israel by Iran would be consistent with Ahmadinejad's oft-repeated denials of Israel's right to exist and recent predictions that its demise was at hand….Will he attempt to make good on these threats this year on the anniversary of the Miraj, illuminating the night sky over Jerusalem? Will Western powers heed Farid Ghadry's words and move to stop Iran before it is too late?...”

Is this World War III

(29July06) “…I think we've mis-numbered the global wars so far…. I see this conflict – one that has defined history for the last 1,400 years – as World War I. This is the real Great War. It's far bigger than the conflicts that took a few years to settle. And it's not going away anytime soon. This war is so big, some people can't even see it. You know the expression, "He can't see the forest for the trees"? That's what it is like for some people who look at this war. They see fighting. They see conflict. They see death and destruction. But they can't see what it's all about. They can't see that the root cause…. much of the world believes this evil ideology can be negotiated with. They believe it can be placated. They believe it can be bought off. They believe it can be reasoned with. They even believe that it might be enflamed by legitimate grievances…” Is this World War III by Joseph Farah, WorldNet Daily “…The Islamic radicals want all the Jews dead. The Jews, meanwhile, want to live. It is about as irreconcilable as a conflict gets…. the West has the power to destroy every Islamic country in the world. It's not a consideration. Yet, everyone reading this column understands intuitively and intellectually that if the shoe were on the other foot, the West would be in big trouble…. This is the way it has always been – since Muhammad first got his demonic visions in the desert. Ever since then, radical adherents to his message have been on the march – beheading, converting by sword, wiping out entire villages, raping and pillaging. Sometimes they are set back – for years, decades, centuries. Sometimes they are on the ascendancy – for years, decades, centuries. This isn't World War III or World War IV. This is World War I..”.

Iran testing Israel ahead of confrontation?

(29July06) “…Tehran is using Hezbollah's confrontation with the Jewish state to test the abilities of Iranian weapons and to observe Israeli military capabilities, Lebanon's Druze leader Walid Jumblatt charged in a WorldNetDaily interview yesterday….he fears Syria will take advantage of the growing crisis in Lebanon to reassert its influence in the country and convince the international community Syrian domination of Lebanon is crucial to the stability of the Middle East….Syria will likely try to tell the world, 'Look, see, since we left Lebanon the Cedar Revolution and the forces in Lebanon that got our military out through popular support, those forces are not able to control Lebanon. While we (the Syrians) were in control, Lebanon was a safe place. Now it's not. We need to come back in,'" said Jumblatt…” Iran testing Israel ahead of confrontation? By Aaron Klein, WorldNet Daily “….It militarily occupied the country until Syrian troops withdrew last year under intense international pressure following    the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri, for which Damascus was widely blamed….Syrian President Bashar] Assad made comments last month about al-Qaida infiltrating Lebanon. Now Assad can send into our country the same extremists he has been sending into Iraq to blow themselves up and wreak havoc here and blame it on al-Qaida. No one can prevent him from doing this."….They triggered this war through their proxy Hezbollah. They continue to hold us hostage…”

Israel, the model

(27July06) “…What is disproportion in the Middle East ? How should one state respond to multi-state-sponsored terror?... Begin with the fundamentals. Hezbollah, once described as “the A-team of terrorists” by former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage, is a terrorist group with a record of killing hundreds of Americans and Israelis (from Beirut to Saudi Arabia to Argentina to inside Israel ). Hezbollah is of global reach and extent…. it has branches in some 20 countries. It occupies 20 percent of the Lebanese parliament but that percentage does not give it sufficient due…” Israel, the model by William J Bennett    “…As for Israel's disproportion, it is worth remembering that Israel is but one state — with a majority of Jews but a substantial Arab population. The Arab states number 22. The land-mass comparison is some 10,000 square miles compared to over five million square miles. That does not include Iran …. We know this about terrorists groups: As nature abhors a vacuum, terrorists thrive in them — that is where they grow and empower themselves. And at least since Israel left Lebanon six years ago, Hezbollah has not gotten weaker….”

When innocents are the firing line

(25July06) The deliberate use of civilians as shields and swords by Hezbollah and Hamas in their attacks against Israel requires reassessment of the rules of war, argues Alan M. Dershowitz.

“…There is no democracy in the world that should tolerate missiles being fired at its cities without taking every reasonable step to stop the attacks….The big question raised by Israel's military actions in Lebanon is: What is reasonable? The answer, according to the laws of war, is that it is reasonable to attack military targets so long as every effort is made to reduce civilian casualties…This is all well and good for democratic nations that deliberately locate their military bases away from civilian population centres….” When innocents are the firing line by Alan M. Dershowitz  “…Hezbollah and Hamas, by contrast, deliberately operate military wings out of densely populated areas. They launch anti-personnel missiles with ball-bearing shrapnel, designed by Syria and Iran to maximise civilian casualties, then hide from retaliation by living among civilians…This misuse of civilians as shields and swords requires a reassessment of the laws of war. The distinction between combatants and civilians - easy when combatants were uniformed members of armies that fought on battlefields distant from civilian centres - is more difficult in the present context… A democracy is entitled to prefer the lives of its own innocents over the lives of the civilians of an aggressor, especially if the latter group contains many who are complicit in terrorism….”

Dear Muslims: What is it that you don't understand?  The American Thinker

(23July06) We, the non-Muslims—the infidels, heathens, unbelievers, apostates, enemies of Allah, najis (soiled), as you prefer to call us—would like to know w hat is it that you don't understand and what is it that makes you behave so badly toward us? You blame us for your problems and believe if we embrace Islam and help establish the Islamic ummah, the earth would be cleansed of us, transformed to paradise, and all your problems disappear?  ....We believe that you and your system of belief are at the core of your problems; that you need to critically examine the facts, rather than conveniently blame others for your ills..." Dear Muslims: What is it that you don't understand?  The American Thinker "...Contempt and hostility toward non-Muslims living under your rule as well as those outside of your domain have characterized your attitude and behavior throughout the history....Your charter, the Quran, in some parts, preaches discrimination, death and imposition of its dogma on everyone. The political system of Islam, just like fascism and communism, is a dysfunctional ideology that needs to be abandoned. Humanity has matured considerably since the time of Muhammad...Islam's inflexible and intolerant dogmatism is at the heart of Islamic world's stagnation and backwardness..."

Kill, Don't Capture

(11July06) “…Killing terrorists during a conflict isn't barbaric or immoral - or even illegal. We've imposed rules upon ourselves that have no historical or judicial precedent. We haven't been stymied by others, but by ourselves….The oft-cited, seldom-read Geneva and Hague Conventions define legal combatants as those who visibly identify themselves by wearing uniforms or distinguishing insignia (the latter provision covers honorable partisans - but no badges or armbands, no protection)…. we have reached a point at which the rules apply only to us, while our enemies are permitted unrestricted freedom…” Kill, Don't Capture by Ralph Peters, New York Post “… A disguised insurgent can shoot his rockets, throw his grenades, empty his magazines, kill and wound our troops, then, out of ammo, raise his hands and demand three hots and a cot while he invents tales of abuse…integrity and courage have fled Washington. Nobody will state bluntly that we're in a fight for our lives, that war is hell, and that we must do what it takes to win…Sadly, even our military has been infected by political correctness. Some of my former peers will wring their hands and babble about "winning hearts and minds." But we'll never win the hearts and minds of terrorists….”

State of Denial

(9July06) “…The day after tomorrow, Britain commemorates a sombre anniversary that is also ringing the loudest of alarm bells. One year on from last July's London bombings by two groups of British Muslim boys, the mortal threat to Britain from Islamist terror appears to have increased many times over… Many thousands of British Muslims are patriotic, law-abiding citizens. Indeed, last weekend saw the death in action of a British Muslim soldier, Jabron Hashmi, who was killed fighting for his country against the Taliban in Afghanistan . Yet according to the Populous poll, 13 per cent of Britain's 1.6 million Muslims believe the 7/7 bombers should be regarded as martyrs; between seven and 16 per cent per cent think suicide attacks on British targets can be justified; and two per cent would be proud if a family member joined al Qaeda, with a further 16 per cent who would be indifferent….. The disturbing fact is that, even after 7/7, both the political and security establishment and large parts of the Muslim community are in a lethal state of denial. They are refusing to acknowledge the true causes of the terrorist threat and taking refuge instead in various alibis…” State of Denial by Melanie Phillips “…In particular, what needs to be combated with the utmost vigour is the Muslim culture of grievance, the paranoid belief that the west is engaged in a conspiracy to aggressively attack and destroy the Islamic world… the establishment — which, in the name of multiculturalism, has a long record of appeasing minorities — is terrified to identify the cause of this terrorism as religious fanaticism, because it fears this might tar all Muslims with the same brush… It is beyond belief that nothing is being done to stop the recruitment and incitement to violence taking place not just in mosques and madrassahs but on campus, in youth clubs and in prisons... The July bombings were a wake-up call that has not yet been heeded. Only if Britain wakes up from its trance will it avoid even worse tragedies to come…”

Egyptian Cleric Sheik Muhammad Nasser presents Children's TV

(9July06) Psychological infanticide from the cesspit of a seriously diseased mind

The  bed time story from hell…Egyptian Cleric Sheik Muhammad  Nasser tells a group of children about child martyrdom.

It gets worse…. The Infidels invent nuclear missiles but the Lord sends earthquakes that swallow them up. More bedtime stories for the kiddies. This Sheik is seriously criminally insane.

AND even Worse... Egyptian Cleric Sheik Muhammad Sharaf Al-Din on a Children Show: The Jews Are the People of Treachery, Betrayal, and Vileness. As Voltaire said and as I have quoted on my home page "Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities." Peace in the Middle East is doomed by this brain washing in the cradle.

Europe: Muslim immigration and the rise of Eurabia

(5July06) This is the MUST read for 2006

“… Since the early 1970s, EU officials and bureaucrats have been seeking to merge Europe with the Islamic world through massive Muslim immigration, writes Bernard Moran. All has been revealed in the 2005 publication of Eurabia: The Euro-Arab Axis , by a previously obscure Egyptian-born Jewish researcher, Bat Ye'or. Married to English historian David Littman, Bat Ye'or (Hebrew for "daughter of the Nile") now lives in a village in Switzerland ….Her research and documentation are considered unimpeachable. She describes the progress of the secretive 32-year Euro-Arab Dialogue (EAD), a joint initiative of the European Union (EU) and Arab governments. The meetings involving the EU political and bureaucratic elite and their Arab counterparts were closed, unpublished and, in Ye'or's words, "shielded from scrutiny and democratic control"….The European participants were mainly secularists and had little understanding of Islam, particularly the doctrines of Jihad, Sharia law and "dhimmitude" - the status of submission required of non-Muslims living in Islamic territory…..Their Arab counterparts viewed the EAD as providing myriad economic and technological benefits to their respective regions. As Muslims, it also provided the diplomatic weight of the EU political establishment in support of the Arab League agenda on Israel and Palestine, unprecedented opportunities for mass immigration, future demographic and political supremacy, thus achieving the long-term goal of bringing Europe into the House of Islam….” Europe: Muslim immigration and the rise of Eurabia “…Bat Ye'or provides a detailed chronicle of the process beginning in May 1945 when Charles de Gaulle, embittered about France's exclusion from the Yalta negotiations, rescued the notorious former Mufti of Jerusalem Haj Amin, from appearing at the Nuremberg Trials as a war criminal….Bat Ye'or described how Eurabia as a geopolitical reality was synchronised as an association called the Europe-Arab Dialogue (EAD) in July 1974 in Paris. She said: "The field of Euro-Arab collaboration covered every domain: from economy and policy to immigration. In foreign policy, it backed anti-Americanism, anti-Zionism and Israel 's delegitimization; the promotion of the PLO and [Yasser] Arafat; a Euro-Arab associative diplomacy in international forums; and NGO collaboration. …"In domestic policy, the EAD established a close cooperation between the Arab and European media: television, radio, journalists, publishing houses, academia, cultural centres, school textbooks, student and youth associations and tourism….”

Danes Sentence Entire Clan for Honour Killing

(3July06)“…This week, for the very first time, a court in Europe sentenced nine members of the same family for the honour killing of a female relative…Honour killings, where a woman is murdered for the shame that she is said to have brought on her family, are a growing phenomenon in Western Europe …”  Danes Sentence Entire Clan for Honour Killing By Filip van Laenen “…The Danish verdict is historic , not only because the entire clan was punished but also because the head of the family, who ordered the killing, was given a heavier sentence than the actual murderer. Families often choose a family member who is still a minor to carry out an honour assassination because, being a minor, he is likely to get a more lenient sentence under Western law…”

Radical Islamic conference at uni

(3July06)“…The nation's two most radical Islamic clerics - hardliners described by a rival yesterday as producing "bin Ladens in the suburbs" - will use a three-day conference at a major university to recruit followers to their sect. The Melbourne-based leader of the Ahl Sunnah Wal Jammah association, Mohammed Omran, and his Sydney counterpart, Abdul Salam Mohammed Zoud, will lead the conference next month at RMIT University under modified names - a ploy their critics claim is designed to escape media attention… ” Radical Islamic conference at uni by Richard Kerbaj, The Australian. “… A member of John Howard's Muslim Community Reference Group, Mustapha Kara-Ali, said that Sheik Omran and his group were renowned for using "phony" names to avoid "spurring certain media reactions"…. "The (conference) organising group headed by Omran is an Australian Trojan horse," Mr Kara-Ali said. "Year after year this fringe group continues to adapt its cover while it unashamedly holds the same core support to bin Laden and his ideology… Mr Kara-Ali said Sheik Omran's organisation has a "hidden agenda" to "further recruit" more Australian Muslims and "disenfranchised youth" into his radical sect….”

[Pew Poll on] How Muslims Think

(3July06)“…To find out, the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press carried out a large-scale attitudinal survey this spring. Titled " The Great Divide: How Westerners and Muslims View Each Other ," it interviewed Muslims in two batches of countries: six of them with long-standing, majority-Muslim populations (Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Turkey) and four of them in Western Europe with new, minority Muslim populations (France, Germany, Britain, and Spain)… The survey, which also looks at Western views of Muslims, yielded some dismaying but not altogether surprising results. Its themes can be grouped under three rubrics. A proclivity to conspiracy theories : In not one Muslim population polled does a majority believe that Arabs carried out the attacks of September 11, 2001, on America ….” [Pew Poll on] How Muslims Think by Daniel Pipes “…Conspiracy theories also pertain to larger topics. Asked, "What is most responsible for Muslim nations' lack of prosperity?" between 14% (in Pakistan) and 43% (in Jordan) blame the policies of America and other Western states, as opposed to indigenous problems, such as a lack of democracy or education, or the presence of corruption or radical Islam… Support for terrorism : All the Muslim populations polled display a solid majority of support for Osama bin Laden….Likewise, suicide bombing is popular. Muslims who call it justified range from 13% (in Germany ) to 69% (in Nigeria ). These appalling numbers suggest that terrorism by Muslims has deep roots and will remain a danger for years to come… The situation in Britain reflects the " Londonistan " phenomenon, whereby Britons preemptively cringe and Muslims respond to this weakness with aggression…”
