(28 May 04) It hasn't even hit the screens in Australia yet and already Michael Moore has again been “ clean bowled” (so to speak). As the BBC movie reviewer tells it, “One of Moore's chief accusations is Bush allowed planes to pick up 24 members of the Bin Laden family and fly them out of the US in the days following the attacks - when all other aircraft were grounded.”
Well that myth has now been well and truly nailed and exploded with the revelation of Wednesday May 26th that it was in fact the darling of the left Richard Clarke the former counter terrorism chief and author of “Against all Enemies” who signed off on getting the Bin laden clan out of the states. Nothing to do with Bush at all…Clarke actually says that “…the authorization didn't get any higher than me”
